Founder and Principal Engineer

Hady is a licensed professional engineer and founder of MTZ Engineering Group in Livonia, MI, specializing in MEP and Structural services and advanced simulations. With a Ph.D. from Western Michigan University, he also serves as an Adjunct Professor and Research Scientist. Mahdi Baharloo, PE, MSEE

Senior Electrical Engineer

Mahdi Baharloo is a licensed Professional Engineer with over 14 years of experience specializing in electrical power systems, including high-voltage and medium-voltage substations, electrical distribution systems, and lighting design. Mahdi has successfully led high-voltage electrical substation projects across multiple states, including Arizona, New York, Ohio, Virginia, Kentucky, Oklahoma, and Tennessee. Additionally, he has designed comprehensive lighting studies, electrical plans, and grounding studies for various industrial and residential complexes throughout the United States and in Ontario, Canada. His work includes delivering detailed design packages, mentoring engineers, and performing critical electrical calculations to ensure system efficiency, reliability, and compliance. Mahdi is proficient in ETAP, CDEGS, WINIGS, CYMCAP, Visual Lighting, MicroStation, Dialux, and other engineering tools, dedicated to providing innovative, high-quality power infrastructure solutions.

Cena Mousavi

Mechanical Engineer


Cena Mousavi is a Mechanical Engineer with over eight years of experience in the design of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems. His professional background encompasses residential, commercial, healthcare, and mixed-use developments, with a focus on delivering efficient, code-compliant, and sustainable mechanical systems that meet mechanical, plumbing, and energy standards.

He holds a Master’s degree in Mechatronics and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (HVAC). Throughout his career, Cena has designed HVAC and plumbing systems in accordance with ASHRAE, NFPA, and ASPE standards, performed detailed load calculations, and collaborated closely with architects and contractors to ensure seamless system integration within building designs.

His expertise includes load calculations using Carrier HAP and Manual J, HVAC equipment design and selection for VAV + DOAS, VRF (per ASHRAE 62.1), and hydronic systems, as well as fire protection system design using AutoSPRINK software per NFPA 13. He is also proficient in smoke control design, air balancing, and healthcare HVAC design in compliance with ASHRAE Standard 170.

Mohammad Jadidi, PhD

Senior CFD/Simulation Consultant

Mohammad is a distinguished Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Manchester, specializing in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), Turbulence Modelling, and the integration of Deep Learning & Machine Learning in CFD applications. Since joining MTZ Engineering Group in 2019, Dr. Jadidi has played a crucial role in advancing our engineering solutions through his expertise. His extensive research portfolio includes numerous peer-reviewed publications and conference presentations, recognized by prestigious awards such as the Gold Prize from the UK Fluids Network. His work focuses on innovative CFD techniques applied to real-world scenarios, enhancing our projects in energy storage systems, thermal management, and phase change materials.

Amal Mathew George

MEP Design Engineer

Amal is an experienced MEP design engineer with an Electrical Engineering degree under the belt. Since 2022, he has been a vital part of MTZ Engineering Group, contributing over 5 years of expertise in the US construction industry. Amal has successfully completed diverse commercial projects, including retail spaces, office buildings, educational institutions, and healthcare facilities. His skills in HVAC systems, electrical layouts, plumbing, and sustainable design ensure seamless integration and optimal functionality of MEP systems. Amal's strong track record highlights his ability to deliver high-quality MEP designs, enhancing the success of commercial projects nationwide.
